Bazar Publishers was established in Norway, Sweden and Finland in 2002 and in Denmark in 2003. The fact that it is an exciting and multifarious publishing house was the reason why we chose to name it Bazar.

In 2005 the wholly-owned subsidiary Bazar Tales was established in order to publish a collection of fairytales, Fairytales from the Heart of the Earth, with The Princess Märtha Louise as editor. The first book in this collection was published in 2007.

The world famous author Paulo Coelho is Bazar’s strongest brand. We have published 10 of his books, the last one was Brida, in the summer of 2008. In all we have sold more than half a million copies of his books.

Through our parent company Forlagshuset Bazar we have produced a gift range with Paulo Coelho for the international market, so far in one million copies in fourteen languages, which you may read more about here: http://www.santjordi-asociados.com/stationery/

The publishing house has several bestselling authors; Dan Brown, Michael Baigent, Sue Monk Kidd, Ildefonso Falcones and Cecelia Ahern, to mention some of the most important.

Our aim is to publish literature of high quality from all over the world. Besides the famous American authors listed, we publish authors from countries like Australia, Russia, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Scandinavia of course.

In 2005 Bazar Publishers was elected the most profitable publisher house in Norway.
