David Allen er blitt omtalt som en av verdens mest innflytelsesrike tenkere innenfor området produktivitet, og han har vært en toneangivende konsulent og fødselshjelper for organisasjoner som New York Life, Verdensbanken, Ford Foundation, L.L. Bean og den amerikanske marine. I tillegg arrangerer han workshops for ledere og organisasjoner rundt om i hele verden.


Han er administrerende direktør i The David Allen Company og har over tjue års erfaring som ledelseskonsulent og ledercoach.


Hans virke har vært omtalt i Fast Company, Fortune, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal og en rekke andre publikasjoner. Få ting gjort er til nå utgitt i mer enn tjue land utenom USA. David Allen bor i Ojai i California.
